The Land Rover is introducing the Autobiography name to the Range Rover Evoque for the first time with two new premium derivatives to the line-up for 2015: the luxurious Autobiography tops the range, complemented by the more powerful, more agile Autobiography Dynamic with its 285PS turbocharged engine and optimised chassis for enhanced performance and sharper handling.

Enhancing Land Rover's existing suite of connected-car technologies, Land Rover InControlTM Apps also debuts across the range. In a world first, InControl Apps enables vehicle-optimised smartphone apps to be displayed and controlled with their original look and feel from the vehicle's touchscreen. Owners simply download Land Rover InControlTM Apps to their smartphone and connect it to the vehicle's dedicated USB port to enable compatible apps to function on the Range Rover Evoque's touchscreen, with new content available every time the apps update.

Speaking ahead of the official world premiere for the Range Rover Evoque Autobiography derivatives at the Geneva Motor Show, Murray Dietsch, Director of Land Rover Programmes, said: "The introduction of Land Rover InControlTM Apps together with the new range-topping Autobiography and Autobiography Dynamic derivatives, takes the Range Rover Evoque's core strengths a step further, bringing increased connectivity, desirability, luxury and dynamic ability to the already successful line-up."

The Autobiography and Autobiography Dynamic make a bold design statement with enhanced dynamic body styling, a new premium grille design, lower front valance, jewel-like headlights and tail lamps and 20-inch forged alloy wheels. Autobiography ingot badging on the tailgate and front fender vents provides further visual differentiation. A new and striking premium metallic body colour called phoenix orange also debuts across the Dynamic Evoque derivatives.

The inside, the Autobiography is equipped with a luxurious leather interior in a selection of six colour palettes. Autobiography Dynamic customers can choose from a dynamic plus leather interior with either sports or premium climate seats and a choice of four colours. Headrests feature an Autobiography embossed logo whilst Autobiography illuminated tread plates greet you as you open the door.

The Autobiography is available with the Evoque's powerful and efficient 240PS petrol or 190PS diesel engines, together with the responsive and fuel-efficient 9-speed ZF automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.

The Autobiography Dynamic's 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, meanwhile, has been upgraded exclusively to 285PS and 400Nm, a substantial 45PS and 60Nm increase. Its 9-speed ZF transmission now responds even more keenly to sportier driver inputs, including when left in Drive.

Active driveline is optional on all Range Rover Evoque derivatives and comes as standard equipment on the Autobiography Dynamic. One of the world's first four-wheel-drive systems of its kind, active driveline improves traction, enhances agility and improves fuel efficiency by engaging four-wheel drive seamlessly and automatically when required.

Further increasing driver enjoyment, the steering of the Autobiography Dynamic has been specially tuned for additional on-centre precision; the chassis also features upgraded suspension geometry, firmer spring rates and recalibrated adaptive dampers, increasing agility and turn-in response. This has been achieved without impacting on the Range Rover Evoque's compliant ride quality.

To ensure drivers can fully experience the Autobiography Dynamic's optimised performance, upgraded 350mm front brake discs have been fitted, while Torque Vectoring by Braking (TVB) is standard equipment. TVB helps to reduce understeer on low- and high-grip surfaces, providing more responsive handling characteristics.

Since its launch in 2011, the Range Rover Evoque has won 157 international awards for its combination of leading-edge design, striking interior craftsmanship, agile handling and off-road capability. It continues to appeal to customers with more than 270,000 sales worldwide, making it the fastest-selling Land Rover of all time. The first Range Rover long wheelbase in 20 years, this new model will cater for a growing group of consumers looking for the ultimate SUV, and an alternative to the traditional long wheelbase saloon cars in this segment. Clever packaging has increased rear legroom by 186mm for rear seat passengers and boosted recline to 17 degrees with the executive seating package to provide enhanced comfort and space.

The new Range Rover Autobiography Black represents the pinnacle of desirability to bring even higher levels of refinement to the world's finest luxury SUV. The interior has been carefully crafted and tailored to meet customer needs with subtle but distinctive exterior detailing and is appointed and finished with the highest quality leathers and materials.

Long wheelbase extends customer appeal
Land Rover is set to extend customer appeal with the reveal of a long wheelbase Range Rover at the LA Auto Show on 20th November.

An additional 186mm to rear legroom has been achieved by lengthening the bodyshell in front of the rear wheels. Clever packaging ensures the signature floating roof and distinctive Range Rover silhouette have been retained to ensure this addition to the family line-up is instantly recognisable.

With either bench or individual Executive Class rear seats, the second row executive style seats can recline to 17 degrees, a full eight degrees more than the nine degrees on the standard wheelbase. Passenger Seat Away slides the front seat forward to provide additional space and comfort. For added convenience, the long wheelbase is equipped with powered side door blinds and a panoramic sunroof as standard, as well as increased stowage. Range Rover long wheelbase models will carry a distinctive 'L' badge mounted into the exterior accents behind each front wheel arch.

The long wheelbase offered on Range Rover Vogue, Vogue SE, Autobiography and Autobiography Black models. A Range Rover Hybrid derivative will also become available later in 2014.

This is the first Range Rover long wheelbase since the Range Rover LSE which ran from 1992 to 1994.

New levels of exclusivity with Range Rover Autobiography Black
Land Rover wunveiling their most exclusive specification vehicle to date at the Dubai International Motor Show on November 5th - the Range Rover Autobiography Black, available in standard and long wheelbase derivatives.

Based on over 40 years of experience, the new Range Rover Autobiography Black has been designed and engineered by Jaguar Land Rover's 'Engineered To Order' (ETO) division to deliver an unmatched combination of all-terrain performance, luxury and design.

Subtle but distinctive exterior detailing
A number of changes to the Autobiography Black exterior give it a distinctive and subtly different character. A unique design finish has been appointed to the front grille and side vents along with distinguishable badging in black enamel and chrome. Signature rear lamps and auxiliary vents to the front add to the exclusivity of this vehicle with a chrome accent finish to the tailgate.

Two new and exclusive Autobiography Black wheel designs accompany the core Range Rover wheel choices. These are 7-spoke 21" and a 22" wheels with a high gloss polished finish, the latter of which will be available from Spring 2014.

The Land Rover has unveiled a new Discovery XXV Special Edition as a celebration of the 25th anniversary year of the original launch of its versatile family SUV.

First launched in Plymouth, UK in 1989, the Discovery revolutionised the 4X4 landscape. Its combination of contemporary design, spacious and user-friendly interiors, unflinching capability and extreme versatility made it an instant hit. With the release of each new generation, the Land Rover Discovery has cemented its position as the most capable, versatile SUV in the world.

The Discovery is as comfortable taking on everyday journeys as it is tackling the world's harshest terrain - as numerous intercontinental expeditions have proved. Over its 25 years it has been chosen as the explorer's choice to take on challenges and adventures; Sir Ranulph Fiennes used an original Discovery in his exhibition to discover the Lost City of Ubar, while the Discovery 3 was used on the record holding London-Cape Town drive in 2013. Distinctive Exterior
This special-edition comes with a choice of four exterior colours - Causeway Grey, Santorini Black, Fuji White and - to mark the jubilee - Indus Silver. It also features Narvik Black grille surrounds and mirror caps, and Dark Atlas features on the grille and fender vents. Silver full-length roof rails, body-coloured handles and a stainless steel bumper accessory tread plate complement the exterior.

Featuring distinctive XXV badging on the front door and tailgate, the special edition is fitted with newly designed 20-inch five-split-spoke forged alloy wheels in a light polished-silver finish.

Sophisticated Interior
The XXV Special Edition builds on the Discovery's luxurious HSE specification, to create a sophisticated and premium interior. The new Range Rover Hybrid powertrain features three driver-selectable modes and combines Land Rover's popular 3-litre SDV6 diesel engine with a 35kW electric motor integrated with the 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. The hybrid system, including lithium ion battery pack, inverter and electric motor weighs less than 120kg.

The electric motor produces 170Nm torque to boost acceleration and drives the vehicle in EV Mode. The motor also acts as a generator, harvesting kinetic energy through regenerative braking, charging the battery when the vehicle is slowing. In driver-selectable EV mode the Range Rover Hybrid can travel at speeds of up to 30mph (48km/h) for a range of up to one mile (1.6km) before the diesel engine seamlessly restarts.

Tte utput of the diesel engine and electric motor is 340PS at 4,000rpm and a class-leading 700Nm torque between 1,500-3,000rpm, resulting in stunning SDV8-style performance. Both models accelerate to 62mph (100km/h) in under seven seconds, deliver strong transient and mid-range performance with a top speed of 135mph (218km/h), combined with a 26 percent reduction in CO2 emissions to 169g/km, equivalent to 44.1mpg on the combined cycle.

The latest generation Range Rover models have all been designed with the integration of a hybrid system in mind. Consequently, the liquid cooled battery pack is mounted beneath the floor of the vehicle in a protective boron-steel cradle without impacting on the cabin or luggage space. The Range Rover Hybrid has the same five-seat capacity and luggage space as the standard vehicle and retains the full-size spare wheel. This no-compromise philosophy is echoed in the Range Rover Sport Hybrid whose interior is unchanged from the standard model, right down to the 5+2 seating.

The all-new Land Rover Range Rover Sport has been designed to capture the distinctive DNA of its predecessor, but with a bold evolution which has placed it firmly at the heart of the marque's striking new three-model portfolio between the Range Rover and the Evoque.

Range Rover Sport occupies a unique position within its segment, and the new model builds on those core strengths with a design which confirms its status as the definitive premium Sports SUV. With its 'faster' windscreen angle, streamlined profile and sloping roofline, the new Sport is 8 percent more aerodynamic than the previous model and achieves a drag figure of Cd 0.34.

While it was developed alongside the Range Rover and shares some commonality with its sister vehicle, the all-new Range Rover Sport benefits from 75 percent unique parts, a significant number of which directly influence the way the new Sport looks and feels.

Bold and progressive exterior design
The dynamic new Range Rover Sport has a bold and progressive exterior design which positions the vehicle confidently within the latest Range Rover line-up. With a fresh interpretation of the current model's strong design DNA, the new vehicle has a sleek and contemporary appearance, with its sloping roofline offering a distinctive sporting character.

The new Sport is just 62mm longer than its predecessor, yet at 4850mm, it is shorter than other 7-seater SUVs and most E segment sedans, bringing greater manoeuvrability and ease of parking. However, a significantly longer wheelbase (increased by 178mm) provides greater room and improved access for rear passengers. The new Sport is 149mm shorter and 55mm lower than the new Range Rover on which it is based and model-for-model weighs 45kg less.

Exciting new interpretations of Range Rover Sport design cues include the signature clamshell bonnet, floating roof and side fender vents. The vehicle also features bold new versions of the powerful wheel arch graphic, horizontal body feature lines and distinctive rocker mouldings which are key elements of the model's strong DNA.

While retaining the powerful Range Rover Sport character, the front end has a more modern, streamlined appearance, with its slimmer lights, rearward sloping grille and more sculpted corners.

Eye-catching details
Eye-catching design details serve to emphasise the new Range Rover Sport's more dynamic and contemporary character. The side fender vents are executed with a more dynamic, sloping treatment. Matching twin vents are executed in the bonnet, enhancing the powerful and sporting character of the vehicle.

Designers have also continued the classic Range Rover Sport two-bar theme, reflected in the twin strakes on the fender vents, the two bar front grille, and the twin lines in the tail lamp graphics.

Near-flush side glazing, combined with a premium gloss black finish to the pillars, enhance the bold Range Rover Sport floating roof graphic - which can be highlighted with three contrast roof colours of grey, black or silver - while also emphasising the more streamlined form of the body. Brembo brake calipers finished in red and a Black Pack, which removes all brightwork from the exterior, are also available to create a more bespoke appearance.

At the front, the large outboard air intakes and bold trapezoidal shapes housing the central bumper beam and skid plate send out a strong, high performance message. The same trapezoidal theme is repeated at the rear, with the skid plate flanked by large twin exhaust outlets.

The front lamps continue the bold evolution of the Sport, with highly distinctive LED signature graphics which feature a new distinctive graphic. The slimmer design creates a more aggressive, technical appearance.

At the rear, the lamps have a more compact treatment with a striking new design that uses LED technology. The main tail and stop lamps echo the headlamps' distinctive design language, while the direction indicators use a new interpretation of the 'twin line' graphic from the current model.

Both front and rear lamps flow round into the shoulders of the body with the distinctive tapering blade graphic featured on the other vehicles in the latest Range Rover portfolio.

The new range of driver assistance, comfort and safety features for the 2014 Discovery: Wade Sensing (a technology unique to Land Rover), Blind Spot Monitoring, Closing Vehicle Sensing, Reverse Traffic Detection and T-junction Cameras.

To align the Land Rover Discovery with other Range Rover vehicles, it available with Meridian premium audio. The standard system features 8 speakers and 380 Watts of power, while the Meridian Surround system produces an impressive 825 Watts output and features 17 speakers.
