 Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4, 2015

Automobili Lamborghini is taking a major step into the future: with the newly developed Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4, the successor to the highly successful Gallardo, the Italian super sports car manufacturer is redefining the benchmark in the segment. With its pure and absolute design, breathtaking dynamics and excellent quality, the Huracán delivers an unparalleled sports car experience. It unites mighty performance with a character perfectly suited to everyday use; its wide-ranging new technologies work together in a fully integrated fashion. Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini said: "With the Huracán, Lamborghini is writing the next chapter in its great history."

With 14,022 units produced, the Gallardo is the most successful Lamborghini model ever made. During its ten-year production run, it took the brand into a completely new dimension. In true Lamborghini tradition, the successor to the Gallardo also takes its name from the world of bullfighting: Huracán was a fighting bull of the Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed who fought in August 1879 in Alicante. His unyielding character made him invincible.

With the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4, Lamborghini is taking its purist, unmistakable design language to a whole new evolutionary level. The design is bold and edgy, with beautifully sculptural forms. The starting point of the design process was the Huracán's silhouette. The objective was to define the car with a single line stretching from the front end over the passenger cell to the rear. The side windows take on a hexagonal form that looks like a gem set into the profile of the Huracán. At night, too, it is utterly unmistakable: All lights, including the main headlamps, beam in LED technology - an absolute first in the super sports car segment.

An innovative cockpit dominates the interior. The 12.3-inch TFT display can be configured in a number of different modes and provides the driver with all key information in a virtual format. The slender lines of the instrument mounts and the center tunnel are indicative of the lightness of the interior design. Fine materials distinguish the interior, which can be extensively individualized, while the extremely detailed craftsmanship delivers a highly refined sense of quality.

The newly conceived hybrid chassis of the Huracán LP 610-4 is a technical work of art that unites carbon-fiber and aluminum components. The ultralight chassis forms the basis for the vehicle's low dry weight of 1,422 kilograms; with its excellent stiffness, it guarantees the handling precision of a racing car.

The new V10 engine in the Huracán generates its phenomenal propulsion from a displacement of 5.2 liters. It produces a power output of 448 kW / 610 hp at 8,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 560 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The new "Iniezione Diretta Stratificata" combines direct and indirect injection - achieving an increase in power and torque compared with the Gallardo and a decrease in fuel consumption and emissions.

With its power-to-weight ratio of just 2.33 kilograms per hp, the Lamborghini Huracán achieves absolutely breathtaking performance. The top speed of more than 325 km/h and the acceleration figures - zero to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, zero to 200 km/h in 9.9 seconds - offer an indication of its dynamics. Thanks in part to the Stop & Start technology, ECE average fuel consumption has dropped to 12.5 liters per 100 km (290 g CO2 per km).

The power generated by the ten-cylinder is delivered to the road via the new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission "Lamborghini Doppia Frizione" (LDF) and an all-wheel drive that also features a new hydraulic multi-plate clutch. Three different driving modes, spanning from road to race track, can be selected using a drive select switch in the steering wheel. The system is called ANIMA (Italian for Soul) - "Adaptive Network Intelligent Management", and impacts the engine, the transmission, the all-wheel drive and the ESC handling system as well as other dynamic systems.

The wheels of the Lamborghini Huracán measure 20 inches in diameter, with the standard-fit carbon-ceramic brake system delivering exceptional stopping power. As an option, Lamborghini offers its new luxury super sports car with the Lamborghini Dynamic Steering variable steering system and MagneRide electromagnetic damper control. Both of these features are also integrated into ANIMA.

The Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 celebrates its show premiere at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, with customer delivery scheduled to start in spring 2014. The Huracán is priced at 169,500.00 Euro, excluding taxes. The Production takes place at Automobili Lamborghini headquarters in sant'Agata Bolognese.

Exterior Design
The elegance of a Lamborghini is in the beauty of its highly concentrated power - every line and every detail pursues the need for speed, dynamics, performance. Design is an essential element of the Huracán LP 610-4, too - unmistakable, hermetically sealed and completely free from ornamentation.

The dimensions frame the contours of a dynamic wedge measuring 4,459 mm long, 1,924 mm wide and 1,165 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. Taut curves contrast with sharp edges, which require innovative technology in working with aluminum and carbon fiber and with geometric surfaces. A characteristic basic form for Lamborghini is the hexagon - visible in the front air intakes and their three-dimensionally formed mesh inserts, in the side windows, in the intake openings for the engine and in the standard-fit wheels in Giano design.

The arrow-shaped front end of the Lamborghini Huracán angles sharply downward like the nose of a shark, with two pleats adding contour to the hood. The flat, angular headlamps are fitted only with LEDs - an innovation in this class of super sports car. Light guides produce the daytime running light, forming two Y-shaped contours in each headlamp and giving the Huracán the look of a predator ready to pounce. With a color temperature of 5,500 Kelvin, the LED light is very close to that of daylight, providing excellent road illumination and putting very little stress on the eyes. The LEDs are designed to last the lifetime of the vehicle and are extremely energy efficient.

A massive air intake, cut deep into the front end and stretching across its full width, dominates the front of the Huracán. Fins painted in body color cut strong diagonal lines through it. As on a race car, the lower contours of the air intake jut forward to form a splitter.

The avant-garde character of the Lamborghini design is particularly evident from the side - the Huracán LP 610-4 is a fast-moving technical sculpture.

Its aluminum cladding stretches tautly over the mighty 20-inch wheels; a single, flowing line runs from the front end over the roof to the rear. The roof arcs slightly over the heads of the driver and co-driver, these contours continuing onto the luggage compartment lid and through the extremely low-lying C-pillars.

Starting at the headlamp, is a line that runs over the front fender to define a broad, angled edge on the door. Together with the flat, dropping roof arc, the rising door edge presents a three-dimensional frame for the side windows - which are set into the flanks like gemstones. Where these lines meet at an acute angle is the upper intake that feeds the engine with air.

The lower intake for cooling air emerges from the angular sill in front of the wide, rear wheel arch. The absence of the large, vertical air intake that was a feature of the Gallardo, brings athletic tension and powerful flow to the flank of the Huracán.

In its standard format, the engine cover between the extremely low-lying C-pillars consists of three large, matte-black polymer fins in homage to the classic Miura. Lamborghini offers an optional transparent cover that reveals a clear view of the V10. In this version, the engine bay is clad in visible carbon fiber, made using Lamborghini's patented Forged Composite Technology.

The rear end of the Huracán also has a highly three-dimensional form. Like the intake at the front end, the wide, meshed outlet for ventilating the engine bay is cut deep into the rear. Above it are the narrow rear lights, likewise fitted entirely with LEDs. Similar to the front headlamps, their light also takes on a Y-shaped contour. The four end pipes of the exhaust system flank a large diffuser; its substantially dimensioned elliptical fairings are chromed and perforated.

Each design detail of the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 celebrates the esthetic of function; the designers from the Centro Stile worked closely together with the aerodynamic experts. The large air intakes at the front of the super sports car specifically direct the cooling air and headwind to increase down pressure on the front axle. The spoiler lip at the rear works together with the rising diffuser in the underbody to improve airflow around the rear of the car - the Huracán does not require a movable rear spoiler. The underbody is completely clad, with NACA channels directing headwind to the radiators.

 Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, 2014

As a further highlight of its 50th anniversary year, Automobili Lamborghini is presenting one of the most exceptional super sports cars of all time. The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is an open racing prototype with an extreme design and breathtaking performance. And it is one of the world's most exclusive automobiles - not more than nine units will be built during the course of 2014 and sold at a price of 3.3 million Euros (excl. tax).

The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is extreme and guarantees an intense driving experience - because open means truly open. There is no roof, just a strong rollover bar for optimum safety. The design is focused on optimum aerodynamics and stability through fast corners - with handling akin to that of a racing prototype. Yet it is fully road legal.

With a maximum output of 552 kW / 750 hp, the Veneno Roadster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and top speed stands at 355 km/h. The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is driven by a twelve-cylinder engine with a displacement of 6.5 liters and is equipped with the extremely fast-shifting ISR transmission with five modes, permanent all-wheel drive and a racing chassis with pushrod suspension and horizontal spring/damper units.

The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster brings the aerodynamic efficiency of a racing prototype to the road. Every detail of its form pursues a clear function - exceptional dynamics, optimum downforce with minimal drag and perfect cooling of the high-performance engine. Therfore the Veneno Roadster is unmistakably a Lamborghini; it sticks firmly to the consistent design philosophy of all the super sports cars from Sant'Agata Bolognese. That includes the extreme proportions, as well as the powerfully arrow-shaped front end and the interplay between razor-sharp lines and precise surfaces.

The entire design of the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster has been laid out for perfect airflow and downforce. The front end works as a large aerodynamic wing. The visual division of the rear fenders from the car body is a reference to the world of racing cars and optimizes the aerodynamic flow. The smooth underbody transitions into a substantial diffuser framing the four sizable exhaust pipes divided by a splitter. Large openings serve to ventilate the engine bay and direct airflow to the rear wing. The design of the adjustable rear wing is the product of motorsport experience and extensive aerodynamic simulation to ensure optimum airflow in the interaction of the rear wing with the rear diffuser.

The design of the exclusive alloy wheels is also determined by aerodynamic functionality - a carbon-fiber ring around the wheel rim works like a turbine to deliver additional cooling air to the carbon-ceramic brake discs. The intense paint color "Rosso Veneno" was developed exclusively for the Veneno Roadster, although each single customer will be able to individualize his own vehicle to suit his personal preferences.

The Veneno Roadster is further proof of Automobili Lamborghini's unique competence in CFRP-based lightweight design. A monocoque made from carbon-fiber reinforced polymer forms the basis of the Roadster. All exterior parts are made from CFRP. The Veneno Roadster meets all safety and registration requirements worldwide, and naturally also incorporates a full complement of safety systems from airbags through to the adapted ESP handling system.

Carbon fiber dominates also the interior of the Veneno Roadster. The carbon fiber monocoque is visible inside the car around the central tunnel and the sills. The two lightweight bucket seats are made from Lamborghini's patented Forged Composite. The woven carbon-fiber CarbonSkin is used to clad the entire cockpit, part of the seats and the headliner. Like a hi-tech fabric, this extremely fine-looking carbon-fiber matting fits perfectly to any form and reduces the weight of the vehicle.

The systematic, carbon-fiber, lightweight design of the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is not only visible, it is also evident on the scales: with a dry weight of just 1,490 kilograms (3,278 pounds), the Veneno Roadster benefits from a power-to-weight ratio of just 1.99 kg/hp (4.38 lbs/hp) which guarantees a performance that is nothing short of mind-blowing. Even the stunning acceleration figure of 2.9 seconds cannot adequately describe it. Despite an aerodynamic setup configured for extreme downforce, the Veneno Roadster possesses exceptionally low wind resistance which allows it to reach a top speed of 355 km/h (221 mph).

Lamborghini Veneno, 2013

In the year of its 50th anniversary Automobili Lamborghini is presenting an extremely exclusive model at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Only three unique units of the Lamborghini Veneno built and sold. Its design is consistently focused on optimum aerodynamics and cornering stability, giving the Veneno the real dynamic experience of a racing prototype, yet it is fully homologated for the road. With a maximum output of 552 kW / 750 hp, the Lamborghini Veneno accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and the top speed for this street-legal racing car stands at 355 km/h. It is priced at three million Euros plus tax - and all three units have already been sold to customers.

The Lamborghini Veneno features a twelve-cylinder power unit with a displacement of 6.5 liters, an extremely fast-shifting 7-speed ISR transmission with 5 driving modes and permanent all-wheel drive, as well as a racing chassis with pushrod suspension and horizontal spring/damper units. Above all, however, the Veneno benefits from the very special expertise that Automobili Lamborghini possesses in the development and execution of carbon-fiber materials - the complete chassis is produced as a CFRP monocoque, as is the outer skin of this extreme sports car. The inside, too, features innovative, Lamborghini-patented materials such as Forged Composite and CarbonSkin.

Fully in keeping with the tradition of the brand, the name of the Veneno originates from a legendary fighting bull. Veneno is the name of one of the strongest and most aggressive fighting bulls ever. He is also famous for being one of the fastest bulls in the history of bullfighting. His name became popular in 1914, when he fatally wounded the famous torero José Sánchez Rodríguez during the bullfight in the arena Sanlúcar de Barrameda's, Andalusia, Spain.

The Design
The Lamborghini Veneno brings the aerodynamic efficiency of a racing prototype to the road. Every detail of its form pursues a clear function - exceptional dynamics, optimum down force with minimal drag and perfect cooling of the high-performance engine. Yet the Veneno is unmistakably a Lamborghini; it sticks firmly to the consistent design philosophy of all the super sports cars from Sant'Agata Bolognese. That includes the extreme proportions, as well as the powerfully arrow-shaped front end and the interplay between razor-sharp lines and precise surfaces.

The entire front end of the Lamborghini Veneno has been laid out for perfect airflow and downforce. The front end works as a large aerodynamic wing. Large channels guide the air to the outlets in the front hood and in front of the windshield, as well as to the front wheels. Characteristic for Lamborghini is the Y shape of the angular headlamps that reach well into the fenders as well as the scissor doors.

Just like the front end, the rear of the Lamborghini Veneno has also been optimized for underbody aerodynamics and high speed cornering stability. The smooth underbody transitions into a substantial diffuser framing the four sizable exhaust pipes divided by a splitter to increase the level of downforce peak. Large openings serve to ventilate the engine bay and manage the airflow to the rear wing, with the only sealed area at the rear being reserved for the license plate. The rear lights, including brake lights, indicator lights and fog lights, pick up the Y theme as well. The engine cover sports six wedge-shaped openings, with the focus here, too, on optimum dissipation of heat from the engine. The engine cover extends into a large central "shark" fin, which improves efficiency during braking and rear-end stability, by delivering additional downforce at high yaw angles and thus increasing the high-speed cornering performance.

The adjustable rear wing's design is the product of Motorsport experience and extensive aerodynamic simulation to ensure the best performance of rear wing interaction with rear diffuser air flow.

The Technology
The Veneno is further proof of Automobili Lamborghini's unique competence in CFRP-based lightweight design. A monocoque made from carbon-fiber reinforced polymer forms the basis of the Veneno. It is largely similar to the Aventador monocoque - as are the aluminum sub-frames front and rear - although its form has been adapted to the new design. All exterior parts are made from CFRP. The Lamborghini Veneno meets all safety and registration requirements worldwide, and naturally also incorporates a full complement of safety systems from airbags through to the adapted ESP handling system.

Carbon fiber dominates the interior of the Lamborghini Veneno, too. The carbon fiber monocoque becomes visible inside the car in the area of the central tunnel and the sills. The two lightweight bucket seats are made from Lamborghini's patented Forged Composite. The woven carbon-fiber CarbonSkin® is used to clad the entire cockpit, part of the seats and the headliner. This unique material is soaked in a very special kind of resin that stabilizes the fiber structure, while allowing the material to remain supple. Like a hi-tech fabric, this extremely fine-looking carbon-fiber matting fits perfectly to any form, and it reduces weight.

The racing personality has been transferred also to the instrument panel. It has been completely redesigned and now, thanks to an aggressive graphics and to the introduction of some additional features like the G-meter, provides all necessary information to the driver for control of the car.

The systematic, carbon-fiber, lightweight design of the Lamborghini Veneno is not only visible, it is also evident on the scales: With a dry weight of just 1,450 kilograms (3,190 pounds), the Veneno is even 125 kilos (275 pounds) lighter than the already extremely lean Aventador. The highly beneficial power-to-weight ratio of 1.93 kg/hp (4,25 lbs/hp) guarantees a performance that is nothing short of mind-blowing. Even the stunning acceleration figure of 2,8 seconds cannot adequately describe it. Despite an aerodynamic setup configured for extreme downforce, the Veneno possesses exceptionally low wind resistance which allows it to reach a top speed of 355 km/h (221 mph).

The twelve-cylinder with a displacement of 6.5 liters is a thrilling combination of absolute high-revving frenzy and phenomenal pulling power. Its output has been raised to 552 kW / 750 hp, facilitated through enlarged intake paths, optimized thermodynamics, a slightly higher rated rpm and an exhaust system with even lower back pressure. The ISR manual gearbox, permanent all-wheel drive and pushrod suspension have all been specifically adjusted to meet the demands of the Lamborghini Veneno.

The Lamborghini Veneno celebrates its first public appearance at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle on show is the number 0, the Lamborghini test vehicle. Its future has not been determined yet, but it will allow Lamborghini to continue its activity of testing and innovation, both on the road and on the race track. The trilogy made of three unique vehicles will be produced in the course of the year 2013 and handed over to their future owners.

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse was presented for the first time at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show. The Squadra Corse delivers high levels of performance while bringing the thrills associated with motorsport to the street-legal world. This new and most extreme model in the Gallardo line-up is based on the Gallardo Super Trofeo, the race car that features in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo - the world's fastest one-make series. The Squadra Corse will be a limited production model, priced at € 191.100, plus tax.

The name Squadra Corse refers to the recently-founded department within Automobili Lamborghini, which manages all motorsport activities from GT3 to the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo championships in Europe, Asia and America, where gentlemen drivers participate in fiercly contested battles on the most challenging racetracks in the world.

The new Gallardo Squadra Corse is derived directly from the race car. Both share the same V10 engine, which is used in the racing version with no modifications. Likewise, the Squadra Corse has the same rear wing for greater aerodynamic load - achieving, under the best aerodynamic conditions, three times the load of the Gallardo LP 560-4 - for increased dynamic stability during tight high-speed cornering. Another element taken directly from the racing version is the removable engine hood equipped with a quick-release system. Both the rear wing and the hood are made from carbon composite material, as are a host of other components on the Squadra Corse.

Lightweight construction through consistent use of carbon fiber
Together with aluminum, carbon fiber forms the basis for construction of the new, extremely lightweight, top-of-the-range Gallardo.

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse boasts a dry weight of 1340 kilograms, 70 less than the already lean Gallardo LP 560-4, which gives the Squadra Corse a stunning power-to-weight ratio of 2.35 kilograms per hp. Different delivering breathtaking performance, it sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.4 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in just 10.4 seconds. Its forward thrust finally tops out at 320 km/h. The production-standard carbon-ceramic brake system guarantees unmatched stopping power.

The technology and the powertrain
Like the Super Trofeo competition version, the new Squadra Corse is based on the technical underpinnings of the Gallardo Superleggera. The V10 engine generates 570 hp, the equivalent of 419 kW, which is fully available at 8,000 rpm. The V10's unique firing order delivers the striking sound heard from its motor racing equivalent. Like the race car, the Gallardo Squadra Corse comes as standard with the robotized e-gear six-speed transmission operated by steering wheel paddles. This electronically controlled system shifts through its six gears smoothly and much faster than any professional racing driver could. Every kilometer driven in the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse is packed with sheer excitement, in part due to its unrelenting grip in virtually all situations thanks to its all-wheel drive concept.

The Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo is the only single-brand racing series in the world that features all-wheel drive race cars.
